Looking at this years participants we are really proud to see the world ranking number 1 in men's singles, number 2 in ladies singles, number 2 in men's doubles, number 1 in ladies doubles and number 1 in mixed doubles! This confirms that the Yonex Dutch Junior is the spring board to the top. For many years already, in 2001 for example, Lin Dan won 'The Dutch'.
Today, almost 15 years later, he is a two-times Olympic champion, five-time world champion and five-time All England champion. Besides that he is considered by many to be the greatest singles player of all time. At the age of 28 Lin Dan reached the "Super Grand Slam". He won all nine major titles in the world of badminton: Olympic Games, World Championships, World Cup, Thomas Cup, Sudirman Cup, Super Series Masters Finals, All England Open, Asian Games, and Asian Championships. Lin Dan is the first and only player who achieved this.
