Day 1, 25-02-2015
Day 1 from the Yonex Dutch Junior International 2015! The tournament has officially started. After the players, coaches and officials started arriving from Sunday 6 am, doing some training and getting used to the playing conditions it was time for the first day of matches. Due to some last minute withdrawals there were not too many matches for the first day, the rest of the week will be a lot busier.
The first day was a day of mixed doubles and men’s singles. Most of the seeded players had a day off. Only the English pair of Ben Lane and Jessica Pugh and the German pair Max Weisskirchen and Eva Janssens, both seeded 5/8, played today. Ben and Jessica beat the American pair of Timothy Lam and Crystal Pan in straight sets. Max and Eva won by walkover from the French pair of Quentin Mejean and Alix Saumier. The Dutch of Joran Kweekel and Imke van der Aar played a good match against the Hong Kong pair of Li Kuen Hon and Yeung Nga Ting, but lost 21-17 in the deciding game.
Unfortunately most the Dutch players who played today lost their matches, except for Joran Kweekel who beat Elias Bracke from Belgium in straight sets and Niels Veenstra who beat Alexandre Lallemand from Belgium 21-15 / 12-21 / 22-20 and . On day 2 another chance for the
